Khelo India University Games 2025: Jaipur Prepares for Historic Event

In a significant announcement on Wednesday, Poornima University and Rajasthan University revealed their collaboration to host the Khelo India University Games 2025 in Jaipur this November. This prestigious multi-sport event marks its fifth edition since inception in February 2020 and is slated to attract over 4,000 athletes from more than 200 universities.
The KIUG 2025 will feature at least 20 different sporting disciplines, providing a platform for student-athletes to showcase their abilities. Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expressed his delight about the upcoming games, emphasizing their importance as a national platform for under-25 athletes to capture the attention of scouts seeking top-tier talent.
Reflecting on the KIUG 2024, where eight new records were set, the Minister anticipates high-caliber performances in Rajasthan. Last year, a total of 770 medals were awarded, with over 200 universities participating. As the university sports scene continues to flourish, Jaipur is poised to play a pivotal role in the 2025 edition.
