In a fierce defense of his brother, Ducati's Marc Marquez has slammed critics for suggesting that his sibling, Alex, is deliberately refraining from challenging him in races. Marc, who this season has secured 15 victories in combined sprint and grand prix races, expressed irritation over social media speculation and journalist inquiries on the issue.
Alex Marquez, who holds second place 14 times this season but remains 68 points behind Marc in standings, faced accusations of being overly cautious. "People need to respect other riders," Marc affirmed, responding to comments that Alex lacks aggression on the track.
Despite his brother's crash at the Dutch Grand Prix resulting in an injury, Marc stood firm, illustrating competition integrity by highlighting Marco Bezzecchi's struggle to overtake him in Assen. He reinforced, "Adrenaline is the best painkiller," while emphasizing the need for respect and appreciation in the sport.
