The All India Football Federation (AIFF) president, Kalyan Chaubey, has reassured fans and stakeholders that the Indian Super League (ISL) will take place this season. Although the start date remains unspecified, Chaubey emphasized its critical role for the sporting community.

Furthermore, a decision on the new head coach for the Indian men's senior football team is imminent, with Chaubey promising an announcement within ten days. The technical committee has forwarded three shortlisted candidates to the AIFF executive committee for selection.

The ISL's delay stems from uncertainty over the renewal of the Master Rights Agreement (MRA) with Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL). Pending a Supreme Court judgment, all negotiations have been temporarily suspended, adding to the overall uncertainty surrounding the league.
