In a masterful display of batting, young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal notched up a crucial 118-run innings, granting India a strategic advantage over England in the final Test of the Anderson Tendulkar Trophy 2025. Taking place at London's Kennington Oval, the match saw India at 304/6 at the close of the second session on Day 3.
Jaiswal's contributions came as India advanced from 189/4, with Shubman Gill and Jaiswal starting the second session at the crease. Despite losing Gill early for 11 runs, Jaiswal pressed on to achieve his century in 127 balls. Unfortunately, his innings concluded at 118, being dismissed by Josh Tongue with the score at 273.
Following Jaiswal's dismissal, wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja steadied the innings, guiding India past 300 before Tea. England's bowlers, led by Gus Atkinson, who claimed three wickets, strove to minimize the damage but were unable to contain the Indian onslaught by the end of the session.
