Ravindra Jadeja etched his name in the annals of cricket history on Saturday by eclipsing the legendary VVS Laxman for the most runs scored by an Indian batting at number six or lower in a Test series. This landmark came during the third day of the fifth Test against England at Kennington Oval. Jadeja was a persistent challenge for the English bowlers, racing past the 500-run milestone in the series. Notably, this marks the first instance of three Indian players achieving over 500 runs in a bilateral Test series.

Jadeja's phenomenal series continued as he overtook Sunil Gavaskar's record for the most 50-plus scores during a series in England, marking six such scores. He joins West Indies' Gerry Alexander and Pakistan's Wasim Raja with this away series feat while batting at number six or lower.

The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy sees three Indian stalwarts - Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Jadeja - surpassing 500 runs each. Gill leads with an impressive 754 runs, followed by Rahul's 532 runs. Despite Jadeja's dismissal on 53 by Josh Tongue, Washington Sundar introduced T20 dynamism to help set a 374-run target for England.
