Two promising Indian boxers, Bhawna Sharma and Yatri Patel, have clinched medals at the U-22 Asian Boxing Championships following decisive victories in their quarterfinal bouts.
Facing tough international competition, Bhawna and Yatri secured unanimous verdict wins over their opponents, propelling them into the semifinals and ensuring at least a bronze each.
Despite valiant efforts, Tanu fell short in the women's 54kg quarterfinals, while among the juniors, Shivam and Mausam Suhag advanced, but Shubham faced a heavy defeat. The championships spotlight India's burgeoning boxing talent.
