At a grand launch event in New Delhi, the Archery Association of India (AAI) unveiled the first-ever Archery Premier League, setting a landmark in the sport's history. Spearheaded by AAI President Arjun Munda, the league's primary aim is to provide exposure to the country's hidden archery talents, aligning with future Olympic goals for 2028 and 2032 by appointing a foreign coach for Team India.

The league's structure features 48 elite archers divided among six competitive franchises. Comprising both Indian and foreign athletes, the premier season promises exciting matches, enhancing archery's visibility both in India and globally. This initiative emerges after India's commendable performance at the World Archery Championships, where they clinched two historic medals.

Launching on October 2nd, the league will see top archers compete, inaugurating a new chapter for Indian archery. With strong governmental support and cultural roots in the sport, stakeholders express optimism that the league will not only highlight India's rich archery history but also pave the way for future Olympic successes.
