On Saturday, Hockey India unveiled the lineup for the 23-member Indian Junior Women's Hockey squad ahead of their Australia tour, which will take place from September 26th to October 2nd at Canberra's National Hockey Centre. The tour, seen as a vital precursor to December's FIH Women's Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile, includes matches against the Australian Junior Women's team and Canberra Chill from the Hockey One League.

Leading the squad is Captain Jyoti Singh, who has experience at the senior level from the recent FIH Hockey Pro League. Goalkeepers Nidhi and Engil Harsha Rani Minz will safeguard the net, while defenders like Manisha and Lalthantluangi provide robust defensive options. The midfield boasts players like Priyanka Yadav and Khaidem Shileima Chanu, with the forward line featuring Lalrinpuii and Nisha Minj.

Indian Junior Women's Team Coach Tushar Khandker expressed confidence in this skilled and hard-working group, highlighting their readiness to face international competitors. This tour is not only about showcasing talent but also gaining valuable international exposure that is crucial for their growth ahead of the FIH Women's Junior World Cup.
