Nepal's cricket team is gearing up for an unprecedented three-match T20I series against the West Indies, set to take place in the UAE later this month. This series breaks new ground as Nepal's first bilateral confrontation with a full ICC member, according to ESPNcricinfo.
All-rounder Mohammad Aadil Alam, absent since August 2022, and middle-order batsman Sundeep Jora, last seen in action in June 2024, make notable comebacks. Leading the squad is skipper Rohit Paudel, with Dipendra Singh Airee as vice-captain. Star legspinner Sandeep Lamichhane will helm the bowling attack, bolstered by the return of left-arm spinner Lalit Rajbanshi, missing from the recent Top End T20 series in Australia.
West Indies A previously toured Nepal in April 2024, narrowly clinching the five-match T20 series 3-2. The upcoming series, featuring five uncapped players in the West Indies squad led by Akeal Hosein, kicks off in Sharjah on September 27. Post this engagement, Nepal will head to Oman for the Asia and East-Asia Pacific Qualifier for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
