With the IPL 2026 playoffs within sight, Delhi Capitals (DC) are relying heavily on their star performer KL Rahul, who has amassed a remarkable 533 runs this season, placing him at the forefront of their campaign. Among DC's arsenal are uncapped Indian talents like Abishek Porel and Sahil Parakh, who have caught Rahul's eye with their audacious style.

In an appearance on JioStar's 'Superstars', DC's wicketkeeper-batter lauded Porel's dynamic hitting abilities, highlighting his capacity to cover all corners of the cricket ground and hit sixes with ease. Rahul described Porel's fearless execution as rare, even when facing experienced opposition, crediting his success to rigorous preparation and confidence in his own skills.

Porel, 23, has scored 86 runs in just three matches this season, averaging 28. Rahul regards Porel's straightforward and aggressive playing strategy as exemplary of modern cricket's new breed. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Sahil Parakh has also made waves as a debutant this IPL, recognized for his explosive batting at the top of the order. Impressed by Parakh's preseason performance, Rahul expressed admiration for his dynamic playing and ability to make an immediate impact.

Currently seventh on the points table with a tally of six wins against seven losses, DC must overcome the Kolkata Knight Riders in their forthcoming match to remain viable contenders in the playoff race. As Sunday's match nears, the spotlight is firmly on DC's youthful assets to deliver under pressure. (ANI)
