Johan Vazquez's decisive first-half header brought Mexico a 1-0 win against Australia in a pre-World Cup friendly on Saturday night. The victory, achieved in the 27th minute with a corner by Alexis Vega, sends Mexico into the World Cup on a high note.
This result extends Mexico's unbeaten run to seven matches this year. Their last loss was to Paraguay on November 18 in a friendly. Mexico's World Cup campaign begins against South Africa on June 11 at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, followed by matches against South Korea and Czechia.
