Telecom powerhouse Bharti Airtel has made significant strides in combating online fraud by protecting over 6.1 million users in Jharkhand and Bihar. In just 37 days, the company successfully launched an AI-powered fraud detection system across the nation, focusing on these states as pivotal points for the rollout.
The advanced system effectively scans and filters a multitude of links, from SMS and social media to emails. It analyzes more than one billion URLs daily, offering real-time threat intelligence and blocking access to harmful sites in under 100 milliseconds. This rapid response mechanism is coupled with user warnings, ensuring a comprehensive shield against fraudulent activities.
Importantly, the platform supports multilingual alerts, tailoring fraud warnings in languages like Hindi. This feature is crucial in areas with low digital literacy, enhancing accessibility and understanding among the diverse population of Jharkhand and Bihar. Offered free of cost, the solution operates seamlessly in the background, requiring no additional installation by users.
