The Sanchar Saathi platform, under the Department of Telecom, has traced over 20 lakh lost or stolen mobile phones, according to Minister of State for Telecommunications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani.

Data indicates that 33.5 lakh mobile phones were blocked, and 20.28 lakh handsets successfully tracked through this initiative. The platform allows users to report and block fraudulent mobile connections.

An average recovery rate of 22.9% has resulted in 4.64 lakh handsets returned to citizens. Users can report lost phones for blocking, file complaints against fraud calls, and challenge fraudulent connections under their names.
