The Indian Army is breaking new ground in defence innovation through collaboration with two of India's top institutions, IIT Ropar and IIT Kanpur. This strategic partnership is designed to harness cutting-edge research and technology to bolster national defence capabilities.
On February 25th, the Technology Business Incubator Foundation at IIT Ropar celebrated its 16th Foundation Day by hosting high-ranking army officials, including Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar. The event showcased advancements in UAV systems, electronic warfare, and virtual reality applications.
This promising initiative was further strengthened when IIT Kanpur and the Western Command formalized their commitment to research excellence on June 20th, cementing a collaborative framework aimed at fostering defense-ready innovations.
