IIT Bombay has partnered with FedEx to introduce a new center aimed at revolutionizing logistics. Officially unveiled on Monday, the IITB-FedEx Centre for Advanced Logistics is set to drive research and innovation in the field.
Named the FedEx ALPHA Centre, this facility will focus on data-driven strategies to tackle complex supply chain challenges. The center also aims to nurture cutting-edge talent and support entrepreneurial ventures among students, according to a statement from IIT Bombay.
Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, emphasized the collaborative effort as beneficial for both research development and student exposure to real-world logistics challenges with potential for scalable outcomes. FedEx's regional president, Kami Viswanathan, highlighted this collaboration as a forward-thinking approach to shaping a globally connected economy.
