Kinetic Engineering has announced its strategic re-entry into the competitive two-wheeler market, setting ambitious investment plans of Rs 177 crore over the next 18 months. The storied Pune-based company, renowned for its Kinetic DX scooter, is pivoting to electric vehicles, eyeing a leadership position within three years.
Speaking with PTI, Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ajinkya Firodia outlined plans to systematically enhance production and expand the sales network. A phased rollout aims to achieve annual sales of 1.5 lakh units, necessitating the establishment of approximately 300 dealerships across India.
Kinetic's fresh line-up includes the electric Kinetic DX, boasting a range of 116 km per charge. Firodia emphasized the significance of reinvigorating the brand's heritage with modern technology, aiming for a commanding presence in the domestic and global electric scooter markets.
