In a significant move towards enhancing cybersecurity, the government has rolled out a Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) aimed at reducing cyber crimes, Union Communication Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

The initiative has successfully diminished international spoof calls by 97%, according to Scindia. An amalgamation of resources from 620 institutions including banks and police from 36 states forms the backbone of this drive against cyber malfeasance.

In parallel, the minister discussed efforts to revitalize state-owned BSNL and MTNL, whose revival plans are set to include tailored business strategies for different regions.
