Delta Air Lines announced on Friday that it will not utilize artificial intelligence to establish personalized ticket pricing for passengers, responding to sharp criticisms from U.S. lawmakers.

Democratic Senators Ruben Gallego, Mark Warner, and Richard Blumenthal previously expressed concerns that the airline might leverage AI to set fares according to individual consumers' 'pain points.'

The company clarified its stance by stating that its ticket pricing strategy does not consider personal data and outlined plans to implement AI-based revenue management technology across 20% of its domestic network by 2025, in collaboration with Fetcherr.
