In an era where artificial intelligence increasingly shapes our daily lives, global standard-setting bodies are keenly debating ethical frameworks, according to Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare.
Speaking at a conference hosted by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khare stated that Indian experts actively participate in these international committees. She noted that once established, these global standards will be adopted by various countries, including India.
Khare highlighted the dual role of AI, noting its significant contributions to social media and innovation but cautioning against its potential misuse. As new standards develop, India's contribution to this dialogue places it in a key position to influence global AI governance.
