Silicon Labs has partnered with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and T-Hub to launch the Edge Intelligence Challenge, a competition designed to foster innovation in India's digital landscape. This initiative aims to encourage the development of next-generation IoT solutions through edge machine learning.
The challenge invites startups, researchers, and students to devise solutions for sectors such as smart homes, healthcare, agriculture, and industrial IoT. More than ten teams will be shortlisted, each receiving financial support, technical resources, and mentorship. These teams will present their solutions at a high-profile event, vying for awards valued at ₹5 lakh.
Manish Kothari, Senior Vice President of Software at Silicon Labs, emphasized the company's dedication to leveraging technology to address practical needs. He expressed optimism that Edge AI could revolutionize industries and drive impactful change. Applications for the challenge are open until September 30, 2025, through a dedicated submission platform.
