The Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani, through its Center for Research Excellence in National Security (CRENS), successfully concluded its inaugural Professional Development Course in Cybersecurity. Held on September 13th at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, the event marked the accomplishments of 90 professionals from national security and defense sectors.

The comprehensive eight-week online course was a collaborative effort involving the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and technology partner Rapifuzz Pvt Ltd. Participants included members from prestigious organizations such as DRDO labs, ISRO centers, and the Indian Armed Forces, among others.

The valedictory event was attended by notable figures like Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, former DRDO Chairman; Sri U. Raja Babu, Director General, DRDO; and Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General, CERT-In. They commended BITS Pilani's initiative in reinforcing national cyber resilience.
