ITC Ltd is revolutionizing the agricultural sector with its pioneering integrated 'phygital' ecosystem known as ITCMAARS. This system leverages AI and machine learning capabilities to help Indian farmers tackle crop diseases, thereby improving productivity and livelihoods.
The ITCMAARS platform includes the 'Crop Doctor', which provides real-time disease diagnostics for 70 different crops, using AI-based image analytics. It has already been deployed 3 lakh times, with farmers reporting significant reductions in crop loss thanks to timely and tailored guidance.
In addition, ITCMAARS features 'Krishi Mitra', an AI-powered agri co-pilot developed with Microsoft, available in eight Indian languages. This tool has resolved over 2 lakh farmer queries, aiding in better selling decisions, subsidy access, precision farming, and preparation for adverse weather conditions.
