Drone City Haryana: A Hub of Innovation and Opportunity
AVPL International inaugurates its Rs 80 crore 'Drone City Haryana' in Hisar, with support from the Haryana Enterprise Policy-2020. Providing employment for over 800 youth, the initiative promotes drone innovation, manufacturing, and training, including a special focus on Scheduled Caste youth under the '500 Drone Udhami Scheme.'
Gurugram-based AVPL International will officially open Phase-1 of its ambitious Rs 80 crore 'Drone City Haryana' project on May 16 in Sisai village, Hisar district, company officials announced. The initiative, bolstered by a Rs 58.51 crore incentive from the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020, aims to foster an integrated drone manufacturing and innovation ecosystem.
Haryana Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi will lead the inauguration, joined by former finance minister Captain Abhimanyu and other key government and industry figures. The project is poised to create over 800 jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for Haryana's youth across drone manufacturing, operations, and training sectors.
A special orientation initiative, the '500 Drone Udhami Scheme,' will partner with the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation to train 500 Scheduled Caste youth. These trainees will become drone entrepreneurs, pilots, and technicians, servicing agriculture and other sectors. The 11.5-acre site will house various facilities, including drone manufacturing, component production, testing zones, and training centers.
