X-Bow Systems: A New Frontier in Solid Rocket Motor Supply
X-Bow Systems has received certification for end-to-end production operations at its Texas facility, a pivotal moment in the Pentagon's effort to diversify the solid rocket motor supply chain. Partnering with the Air Force Research Laboratory, the company is poised to enhance missile inventory for national defense.
X-Bow Systems announced on Wednesday the certification of its end-to-end production operations for two key manufacturing systems at its Texas facility. This milestone is part of a Pentagon-supported initiative aimed at expanding the solid rocket motor supply chain.
The program is a response to increasing global conflicts and the urgent need to replenish U.S. missile stocks. Traditionally dominated by Northrop Grumman and L3Harris Technologies, the sector is now seeing new entrants like X-Bow, which has partnered with the Air Force Research Laboratory's RE-ARM program to pioneer advanced solid propellant manufacturing technologies.
X-Bow's advancements include a fixed industrial-scale production site and a mobile manufacturing unit. These innovations position the company as a vital player in meeting defense demands, further supported by investment from Lockheed Martin Ventures and Boeing.
