DJI, the world's leading dronemaker from China, has told U.S. lawmakers that its drones are secure, based on an independent external review. The company is appealing to Washington to overturn a ban on its latest products.
This comes after DJI initiated a lawsuit in February against the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's December decision to prohibit imports of its new models and critical components.
A letter obtained by Reuters reveals that DJI hired a U.S.-based security firm to conduct a thorough examination, which concluded there was no evidence of data being transmitted outside of the United States.
