Airlines such as Air India and IndiGo announced cancellations due to the extended closure directive. Air India assured passengers with valid tickets of a one-time rescheduling waiver or full cancellations refund.
The shutdown is attributed to military strikes carried out under Operation Sindoor in response to a deadly attack in Pahalgam. These precautionary measures prioritize passenger safety amid a growing security threat in the region.
