The aviation safety regulator, DGCA, has issued a significant directive to Air India, requiring the airline to remove three key officials from all responsibilities related to crew scheduling and rostering. This move, according to sources, includes removing a divisional vice president from these pivotal roles.
On June 20, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) formally ordered Air India, which is currently owned by the Tata Group, to not only reassign the responsibilities of the affected officials but also to begin internal disciplinary proceedings against them without delay.
The officials include one of the airline's divisional vice presidents, signaling a high-level compliance issue within the airline's administration that the DGCA aims to address promptly.
