Prominent lawmakers called the incident a severe threat, suggesting it demands urgent attention. "We are under attack on all fronts, including digital," stated Anton Gorelkin, a senior lawmaker. The attack, attributed to groups Silent Crow and Belarusian Cyberpartisans, resulted in a major disturbance to Russia's aviation operations.
Although Aeroflot couldn't specify when normal operations would resume, Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport experienced substantial flight cancellations. As shares declined, angry passengers voiced frustration online, spotlighting the severe impact on Russian travel during a popular holiday period.
