A Gujarat-bound train experienced a minor derailment between Kanpur and Tundla in Uttar Pradesh, officials from the Railway Ministry have reported. The incident, involving two coaches of the Muzaffarpur-Sabarmati JanSadharan Express, occurred at a speed below 15 kmph, preventing any serious injuries.

The derailment took place on the loop line of Bhaupur Yard at 4.20 PM, according to Shashi Kant Tripathi, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway. While some passengers sustained minor injuries, rescue efforts were swift, and fellow travelers assisted many to safety.

The incident triggered significant disruptions along the busy Delhi-Howrah corridor. Several trains have been rerouted, while railway authorities initiated immediate restoration efforts. High-level investigations have been launched, and normal operations are anticipated to resume post-clearance and safety checks.
