BHEL's Losses Widen Amid Rising Expenses

State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) revealed on Wednesday that its consolidated net loss expanded to Rs 455.50 crore for the quarter ending in June, primarily due to increased expenses.
In comparison, the company reported a net loss of Rs 211.40 crore for the same period the previous year, according to a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
While total expenses jumped to Rs 6,279.78 crore from the previous year's Rs 5,874.98 crore, the total income showed a slight rise to Rs 5,658.07 crore compared to Rs 5,581.78 crore a year ago.
