The imposition of steep tariffs on Indian exports by the United States has raised significant concerns amongst staffing experts, predicting an immediate jobs crisis in affected sectors.
According to R P Yadav of Genius HRTech, industries such as textiles, auto components, agriculture, and gems and jewellery are expected to face the most significant impacts, potentially risking hundreds of thousands of jobs.
Despite these concerns, some experts, including Balasubramanian Anantha Narayanan from TeamLease Services, argue that India's domestically driven economy may mitigate significant job losses, as the country seeks to diversify its trade markets amid ongoing negotiations.
