The Techno India University campus was abuzz with excitement as the NoScope Gaming University Esports Championship (UEC) 2025 National Finals delivered a thrilling display of India's collegiate esports prowess. The event, held from August 3-5 in Kolkata, brought together over 200 esports finalists from 25 top universities across the country, competing fiercely in PC, Mobile, Console, and VR categories.

This year's championship set a new record with over 20,000 participants nationwide, boiled down to the ultimate showdown for glory in front of thousands of spectators. The Hon'ble Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Shri Aroop Biswas, graced the event, underscoring its significance by unveiling the official UEC 2025 jersey.

Notably, the finals also played host to the World Tennis Esports Championship (WTEC) India Finals, where Vimalraj Jayachandran shone by securing a coveted spot representing Team India at the WTEC World Finals this September in the USA. The event concluded with VIT Vellore claiming the title of overall UEC champions, marking a triumphant step in India's burgeoning esports landscape.
