Tragedy struck at Kolkata Metro's Howrah station as a commuter, Biswajit Pakrashi, succumbed to a sudden illness during busy office hours.
Efforts by the metro's quick response team could not save the life of Pakrashi, who was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital within 17 minutes.
A resident of Tribeni and an assistant engineer in the state Electricity Department, Pakrashi was a regular on the 'Green Line', typically commuting from Bandel to his office at Salt Lake.
