Services of the iconic Darjeeling toy train will resume on Thursday after a two-day suspension caused by landslides due to heavy rains, according to an official.
The route, primarily between Tinbatti and Tindharia stations, experienced minor landslides, leading to the precautionary suspension of services between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling.
Starting Thursday, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway will operate both heritage steam locomotives and modern diesel engines, which have been a significant draw for tourists, Director Rishabh Chaudhary informed PTI.
