In a tragic railway accident in Bihar, four teenagers lost their lives and another sustained injuries after being hit by a Vande Bharat train in Purnea district.
The incident occurred around 4 am on Friday on the Katihar-Jogbani section. Station Manager Munna Kumar mentioned that the group was crossing the tracks amidst darkness and overcast weather, which likely contributed to the mishap as they failed to spot the oncoming train in time.
The lone survivor has been admitted to Purnea Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The deceased, aged between 14 and 18, were residents of the Kasba block, officials said.
