DTC Bus Marshal Arrested in Shocking Conductor Assault

A shocking incident unfolded on September 28, when a DTC bus marshal was arrested for allegedly biting off a conductor's finger after a dispute over the route of an electric bus. The altercation began when the conductor, Jitender Kumar Puniya, refused to follow the route preferred by the marshal.
The incident occurred while the DTC bus was en route to Dhaula Kuan from Noida's Sector 62. Disagreement ensued over taking the Lajpat Nagar Ring Road flyover versus a parallel road. The argument escalated during heavy traffic near Nehru Nagar and intensified at the Dhaula Kuan terminal.
Authorities confirmed that the marshal was apprehended after Puniya, in severe pain, reported the incident. A grievous injury was declared by doctors at AIIMS Trauma Centre. Meanwhile, the marshal was repatriated for disciplinary proceedings, with further investigation ongoing.
