An underground metro train heading towards Worli was evacuated as a precaution on Friday due to a technical glitch, as confirmed by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL).
The incident occurred on the Aqua Line near Santacruz station at around 2.44 pm, causing passengers to witness what they described as smoke, though MMRCL denies any presence of smoke or fire.
Following the incident, the train was moved to a loop line for inspection, but other services on the line remained unaffected, ensuring minimal disruption to the network.
