The Madhya Pradesh cabinet has announced a significant financial boost by approving Rs 38,555 crore for diverse sectors, aiming to stimulate the state's economic growth and infrastructure.
The lion's share of Rs 32,405 crore is allocated for road infrastructure, aligning with goals for the upcoming 16th Finance Commission period from 2026 to 2031. Additionally, Rs 2,442.04 crore is dedicated to advancing agriculture through the 'Self-Reliance in Pulses Mission.'
A notable development is the creation of the State Traders' Welfare Board, designed to streamline grievance redressal and improve communication between traders and the government, further amplifying the state's economic progress. Additional allocations include Rs 1,295.52 crore for boosting IT and electronics manufacturing, and Rs 2,412 crore for new anganwadi centres and the 'Mission Vatsalya' initiative.
