The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a new directive requiring airport operators to retain photographic records from security hold areas and tarmacs for a period of three years.
The directive, part of a circular sent to aerodrome operators, states that these records should be readily available for DGCA inspection when demanded.
This requirement is in alignment with Rule 13 of the Aircraft Rules, 1937, and includes that individuals photographing must adhere to stringent security checks, ensuring aviation security protocols are upheld.
