In a move to tackle the city's traffic woes, Delhi's Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu emphasized the urgent need to address violations like wrong-side driving and unauthorized parking. These issues were discussed in detail during a meeting with Delhi Traffic Police officers.

Sandhu reviewed various proposals and infrastructure initiatives by the traffic department, urging the use of enforcement and awareness campaigns. He noted that the Delhi Traffic Police has pinpointed 62 major congestion areas and has launched over 160 infrastructure projects to improve traffic flow.

By implementing AI-driven technology through an integrated traffic management system (ITMS) and taking citizen feedback into account via Project SANGAM, efforts are being made to create safer and more efficient roads. These endeavors are part of a broader initiative to transform Delhi in line with India's national priorities for world-class infrastructure.
