In a major boost to India's defense sector, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu have commenced the construction of the AMCA infrastructure, a project valued at approximately Rs 16,000 crore. Located in Sri Sathya Sai district, this initiative promises to generate 7,500 employment opportunities, marking a significant economic impact in the region.
The AMCA, or Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft project, was formally introduced alongside several other defense-related initiatives, including drone city developments. This strategic investment aims to bolster India's defense manufacturing capabilities, signaling a commitment to advancing military technology.
During the foundation-laying ceremony, Singh and Naidu toured a comprehensive display of cutting-edge military products, including missiles, hand grenades, advanced firearms, and a fighter jet prototype. These technological exhibits highlight the future direction of India's defense industry.
