Fuel prices have surged once again, with both petrol and diesel rising by 90 paise per litre as of Tuesday. This marks the second significant increase in less than a week, adding pressure to consumers.
In the capital city of Delhi, petrol is now priced at Rs 98.64 per litre, a jump from the previous Rs 97.77, while diesel has climbed to Rs 91.58 per litre from Rs 90.67. The economic impact is notable in other major cities as well.
Mumbai's petrol rates increased to Rs 107.59, with diesel at Rs 94.08. Kolkata saw the steepest climb in petrol prices, rising by 96 paise to Rs 109.70 per litre. In Chennai, petrol and diesel prices elevated to Rs 104.49 and Rs 96.11 respectively, reflecting the nationwide uptick in fuel costs.
