Mahindra & Mahindra Sees 23% Rise in May Tractor Sales
Mahindra & Mahindra experienced a 23% boost in domestic tractor sales in May, reaching 47,845 units. This surge was attributed to the completion of Rabi harvesting and favorable trade conditions. Total sales hit 49,695 units globally, with exports expanding by 7% to 1,850 units.

Mahindra & Mahindra reported a significant upswing in its farm equipment division for May, with domestic tractor sales soaring to 47,845 units, marking a 23% increase year-on-year. This improvement highlighted strong agricultural activity supported by favorable market conditions.
Last May, the firm recorded sales of 38,914 units domestically. Total tractor sales, which include both domestic and international markets, reached 49,695 units. The export segment grew modestly, contributing 1,850 units, which is a 7% rise from the previous year. This growth was propelled by the timely conclusion of the Rabi harvest and beneficial trade dynamics for farmers, noted Veejay Nakra, President of the Farm Equipment Business at Mahindra & Mahindra.
