Record Success in West Bengal Class 12 Exams: A Closer Look
In the recent West Bengal Class 12 board exams, 90.79% of students passed, with boys outperforming girls. Rupayan Pal topped the list. This year's exam marks the end of the annual system as a new schedule begins in 2026.

In an impressive display of academic achievement, a total of 4,30,286 students successfully cleared the West Bengal Class 12 board examinations. The results, announced by Chiranjib Bhattacharya, president of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, revealed a pass rate of 90.79%.
Boys led the success with 92.3% passing, compared to 88.1% of girls. Purba Medinipur district showed exceptional performance with a 95.74% pass rate, surpassing North 24 Parganas and Kolkata. Among the standout achievers, Rupayan Pal from Burdwan CMS. High School scored an impressive 99.4%.
This year marks the last of the annual examination system. Beginning in 2026, the West Bengal HS exams will transition to a new schedule, occurring biannually in February and September.
