In a fiery demonstration, Youth Congress activists on Friday demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protests, sparked by a NEET question paper leak, saw activists rallying from the state Congress office to Master Canteen Square in Bhubaneswar, eventually burning effigies of Pradhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Youth Congress leader Laxmipriya Nayak accused the BJP-led NDA government of systemic educational failures, citing 89 paper leaks in the past 12 years. The government announced a NEET-UG re-exam for June 21 after canceling the one held on May 3 due to the leak.
