Emmy-winning actress Amy Poehler is set to make her much-anticipated return to television with the upcoming comedy series 'Dig', co-created alongside Mike Schur. According to the official synopsis, the series will portray the lives of "four women working at an archaeological dig in Greece" who find themselves at "wildly different crossroads in their lives."

The plot thickens when the team unearths a long-buried secret that could potentially rewrite history, placing them at the center of a complex international conspiracy, as reported by People. 'Dig' becomes Poehler's first major TV project since the critically acclaimed 'Parks and Recreation' wrapped up in 2015, also marking her reunion with collaborator Mike Schur.

Coinciding with the 10-year anniversary of 'Parks and Rec's' finale, Peacock has officially announced the new series, much to the delight of fans. Original cast members included Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Aziz Ansari, Chris Pratt, and Aubrey Plaza. Reflecting on the close bond among the cast, Adam Scott, who played the love interest of Poehler's character Leslie Knope, mentioned, "We all are on a text chain, and at least once a week, we all add to the chain. It was so fun, and no one took it for granted."
