Amidst the escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan, Karnataka's mosques conducted special prayer sessions on Friday, seeking divine intervention for the well-being of the Indian armed forces. Notably, mosques under the Waqf Board jurisdiction participated in this spiritual solidarity movement.
Chief Imam Mufti Mohamed Maqsoon Imran, of Bengaluru's Jamia Masjid, expressed unwavering support for the nation's leadership, emphasizing the unifying prayer sessions aimed at bolstering the morale of both soldiers and civilians. These efforts echo a call for unity and support towards the country's defense personnel and their families.
This initiative followed Karnataka Waqf and Minority Affairs Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan's directive for prayers, coinciding with similar sessions conducted across temples by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department, aimed at honoring those partaking in 'Operation Sindoor' against the backdrop of recent attacks.
