President Murmu's Historic Uttarakhand Visit: A New Era Begins

President Droupadi Murmu commenced her official visit to Uttarakhand on Thursday, receiving a warm welcome at the Jolly Grant Airport by state dignitaries including Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

President Murmu's schedule features the grand opening of the historic, 186-year-old Presidential Niketan, a sprawling property set across 21 acres on Rajpur Road, on Friday. The event marks a significant cultural milestone for the region.

Moreover, President Murmu will inaugurate the foundational development of the President's Park and unveil a publication that details the biodiversity within the Presidential Niketan grounds. Her visit also coincides with a state government-backed International Yoga Day programme, further underscoring her commitment to cultural engagement.
