Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently highlighted the importance of yoga, describing it as a cornerstone of India's cultural heritage. Speaking at the 'bhakti yoga' event in Pune, he stressed that yoga nurtures both body and soul, ensuring a life filled with happiness and vitality.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, at a Mumbai event, urged the younger generation to adopt yoga, projecting it as a way to steer clear of addictions and embrace a stress-free life. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for advocating International Yoga Day, which is now in its 11th year.

The focus on yoga aligns with the theme of this year's Yoga Day, ''one earth, one health''. Shinde reminisced about practicing yoga during pivotal political shifts, attributing personal and state advancements to its practice, and called for its daily incorporation beyond the annual observance.
