The China Center for International Communication Development (CCICD) and the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS) have jointly ventured into the realm of short-form video production, recreating historical moments with cutting-edge artificial intelligence. This innovative collaboration enables viewers to relive significant events as if they were happening today.
One captivating story brought to life involves a Thai merchant fleet in 1755 AD, which faced ruin in the South China Sea. As their hopes dwindled, salvation appeared with the Guangdong Navy's patrol fleet, underscoring the Qing government's commitment to aiding distressed foreign vessels, a tale immortalized in the Factual Record of the Qing Dynasty.
Combining cinematic visuals and emotional storytelling, this project transcends mere legend, using advanced AI to breathe life into a 270-year-old story originally captured in just 30 classical Chinese characters.
